Welcome to the Pilates Rotterdam website!

We started a Pilates Education early September: check out the education page!!! You can join some of the events if you want to.

We hope that you are all right and staying positive and healthy. We are open though we haven’t got as many places available. The best is to check by sending us a quick email since the conditions change often.

The studio is open Monday to Saturday. Opening hours are 9 to 7. We are glad to answer your questions, though we may be busy attending someone: please, leave your name and telephone number in the answering machine, and we will call you as soon as we can. Or even better, use our contact page and tell us your preferred days and times.

You only need some comfortable training clothes (not too baggy!) and fresh socks. We provide you with the towels and toiletries.

Studio

Conveniently housed in the center of the city, Pilates Rotterdam is one of the longest running studios in Rotterdam. In a seriously friendly atmosphere, you get to train with some of the best trainers in the field in the best-equipped studio for the practice of Pilates in Europe. Also, for more than a decade the studio has been home to a research center so the clients enjoy the benefit from the most detailed equipment and the most accurate routines. The studio is visited frequently by teachers from all over the world who want to share the fun and the work.

Pilates

Pilates has been around since the early 1900’s when German-born Joseph Hubertus Pilates started putting together a series of exercises to be performed on a simple mat. Eventually,  after a lot of research and experimentation for more than 60 years, he arrived at what we know today as Pilates: a whole system of exercises and equipment to develop the individual. One of the most complete forms of conditioning available under one single system.

The basic principle is to make the individual stronger, looser and equip him with control.
